This is a first entry in a long time, just in case folks are wondering.
All is well with the folks in the Motherland. My dad evacuated early, and all the popolo seem to have found safe haven well ahead of G's somewhat less-than-climactic landfall.
Good thing, methinks.
This storm seems to have brought more than its share of property damage to my people (trees hit my friend Will's place in St. Martinville and my sister's house in Baton Rouge), but nobody's really complaining too loudly. Gratitude for personal safety reigns supreme.
After all, it's nothing a little structural carpentry can't fix.
Thanks for checkin' in,
Pableaux
